Location:Elizabeth City, NC
Work Environment:On-site at USCG CG-AIR/ALC
Schedule:Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week
Education:High school diploma or equivalent required.
We are seeking an experienced Logistician II to provide aviation supply and logistics support to USCG CG-AIR. This position supports aircraft maintenance and supply operations by evaluating inventory requirements, analyzing aviation parts and equipment, preparing procurement support documentation, and providing technical logistics guidance.
The ideal candidate will have significant aviation inventory management experience and a strong understanding of aircraft logistics support practices.
Key Responsibilities- Assess aircraft equipment maintenance and logistics support requirements.
- Evaluate supply and inventory requirements supporting USCG aircraft.
- Prepare and submit Supply Item Change Requests.
- Prepare documentation supporting procurement actions.
- Analyze technical and logistics information to determine item interchangeability or acceptable substitutions.
- Evaluate logistics support plans for feasibility, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
- Analyze forecasting model results and inventory requirements.
- Coordinate with engineering personnel regarding special inventory requirements.
- Work with Engineering and Procurement teams on supply sources, databases, unit costs, and appropriate stocking quantities.
- Use AMMIS and ALMIS to prepare or generate requirements documentation.
- Assist with preparation of Unsatisfactory Reports for Government approval.
- Monitor aviation inventory and identify potential supply issues.
- Provide technical guidance regarding the use, compatibility, and repairability of aircraft parts and equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum
five years of supply/logistics experience
. - Minimum five years of experience managing areas such as registration coding, inventory consolidation, long-lead-time items, support items, multiple sources of supply, and proprietary-data issues.
- Minimum
five years of aviation inventory management experience
beyond the Supply Technician level, such as Material Coordinator or Inventory Manager. - Knowledge of USCG or Department of War aircraft logistics support practices and procedures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Microsoft Office knowledge.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines.
- Experience with ALMIS.
- Experience with AMMIS.
