R&R Contracting Utilities is hiring a Senior Site Superintendent to lead field execution for our expanding Turnkey Sitework & Utility Division. This role owns day-to-day construction operations for full site development packages from mobilization through closeout and is responsible for production, safety, sequencing, and schedule control across complex projects in DC and Baltimore. This is a senior, boots-on-the-ground leadership role with real authority, accountability, and upside.

You will be the field general responsible for turning estimates into profitable, well-run projects.

• Lead on-site execution of full site development scopes, including:
• Clearing, grading, and mass earthwork
• Wet & dry utilities (storm, water, sewer, electric, telecom)
• Deep excavations, shoring coordination, and dewatering
• Structural and flat concrete
• Site restoration, paving coordination, and final tie-ins
• Field Leadership & Execution
• Plan, sequence, and execute work to meet schedule and budget
• Supervise foremen, crews, and subcontractors
• Coordinate equipment, trucking, materials, and manpower
• Enforce safety, quality, and production standards
• Maintain daily reports, look-aheads, and progress tracking
• Project Coordination
• Work closely with Project Managers, Estimators, and Ownership
• Coordinate inspections, utility companies, and municipal authorities
• Identify constructability issues, field conflicts, and cost risks early
• Support change order documentation and schedule recovery plans
• Accountability
• Own field productivity and margin protection
• Drive schedule adherence and milestone completion
• Maintain a clean, professional, and safe jobsite

• 10+ years of experience as a Superintendent in sitework and underground utilities
• Strong background in urban work (DC /WSSC/ Baltimore preferred)
• Deep understanding of sequencing, production rates, and field logistics
• Ability to run multiple scopes simultaneously without babysitting
• Strong leadership presence with crews and subcontractors
• Familiarity with regional municipalities, inspectors, and utility agencies
• OSHA 30 (required)
• Valid driver’s license

• Strong plan and specification interpretation
• Working knowledge of schedules, look-aheads, and job cost controls
• Comfort with tablets, daily reporting, and basic field technology
• Experience coordinating with PMs using construction accounting systems (Foundation a plus)
