Management Analyst; Residential Reentry Management Branch

Corrections professionals who foster a humane and secure environment and ensure public safety by preparing individuals for successful reentry into our communities.

To be considered for the position, you must meet the following qualification requirements.

GS-11: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related.

GS-12: There is no substitution of education for specialized experience for this position.

Graduate education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.

GS-11 and GS-12: You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level. To be creditable, this experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular qualifications to perform successfully the duties of the position, and must typically be in or related to the position to be filled.

Some examples of this qualifying experience are:

• Experience in analyzing complex budgets, analytical and problem solving methods and techniques.
• Experience with running reports from the Financial Management Information System (FMIS) or a similar accounting system and analyze the data to ensure accuracy of entries.
• Experience in tracking of complex budgets and expenditures to include providing written updates and reports on the status of multiple cost centers.

GS-12:

• Experience in providing analysis of unique conditions involving all operations in procurement.
• Experience in developing, analyzing, evaluating, advising on or improving the effectiveness of work methods and procedures, organizations, management controls and similar functions of management that involve difficult and complex issues.
• Experience in designing and maintaining data bases for statistical reports of request for purchase, purchase orders, and the purchase card program.

GS-11 only: Have a combination of education and experience. This experience must have equipped you with the particular qualifications to perform the major duties of this position as described above.

If applicable, credit will be given for paid and unpaid experience. To receive proper credit, you must show the actual time (such as the number of hours worked per week) spent in activities.
