Position Summary
The Head of Integrated Operations Planning will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of production operations for Fincantieri Marine Group (FMG) and Fincantieri Marine Systems N.A. (FMSNA), working closely with executive leadership to l ead the assessment, planning, and coordination of production strategies for new and emerging U.S. programs. This involves ali gning resources, facilities, and capabilities to optimize cost and performance for both initial and long-term production efforts.
This individual will support the VP of Integration, Innovation, and Control, and corporate executives, by analyzing facility capacity, workforce readiness, and infrastructure needs across multiple shipyards to provide actionable, data-driven recommendations for executive decision-making.
Domestic and international travel is required.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Lead enterprise-wide production planning for current and future programs, ensuring strategic alignment and leveraging data-driven models to inform executive decisions.
- Capacity Planning: Master management tools like earned value, financial analytics, and data-driven insights to evaluate performance, drive continuous improvement, and optimize production efficiency across shipyards.
- Estimating & Scheduling: Develop, track, and report integrated production schedules and progress metrics; assess facility capabilities, workforce readiness, and infrastructure needs to ensure enterprise success.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Alignment :
Collaborate with leadership within corporate locations, shipyards, and Fincantieri S.p.A. to synchronize production strategies that support both customer requirements and company objectives.
- Must have strong Microsoft Office Suite computer skills
- Must have strong organizational, time management, written, and verbal communication skills
- Must have ability to maintain confidentiality and a professional demeanor
- Demonstrates leadership skills that align with the mission, vision, and values of the Company.
- All employees are required to adhere to ISO and OHSAS policies established by FMG and shall have high values for safety awareness
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Master's Degree preferred
- 12 Years of operations planning, production management, or program integration within shipbuilding, naval architecture, or complex manufacturing environments required
This range represents the overall market pay rate for candidates who meet the necessary qualifications and experience requirements for this role. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, education, and performance.
