We're seeking a Senior Facilities Manager to lead our Washington, D.C. team and oversee locations across Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Arlington. You'll manage facility operations for a Fortune 500 media company's real estate portfolio in a fast-paced environment that demands quick thinking and adaptability.
As the main facilities contact, you'll support the Regional Facilities Manager and Corporate Real Estate team in delivering quality services, managing tenant requirements, and ensuring satisfaction. Key responsibilities include budget preparation and forecasting, plus managing invoicing and work order systems. Reports to the Regional Facilities Manager.
What This Job InvolvesThe Senior Facility Manager is responsible for managing assigned sites within the client's owned and/or occupied portfolio while ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal requirements. This leadership role involves overseeing all lines of business and third-party relationships within assigned buildings while managing a team of Facility Management professionals. The position requires strategic oversight of facility services, budget management, tenant relations, and staff development to deliver exceptional service outcomes in accordance with established standards and procedures.
Yourday-to-day tasks will include:
- Lead facilities team in Washington, D.C. and oversee regional operations across Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Arlington for a Fortune 500 media company's real estate portfolio
- Serve as main point of contact for facilities management, supporting the Regional Facilities Manager in implementing short and long-term projects, including possible Cap Ex initiatives
- Build and develop high-performing teams while solving complex problems in a fast-paced environment requiring quick thinking and adaptability
- Develop and implement innovative programs, processes, and procedures that reduce operating costs and increase productivity by working closely with the Facility Management team and client
- Prepare, forecast, and manage annual capital and expense budgets, including monthly/quarterly variance reporting and financial reporting for the client
- Coordinate and manage tenant requirements and service delivery to ensure satisfaction across all locations, with regular site visits as needed
- Review and approve invoices and procurement orders while managing invoicing and work order systems
- Develop and maintain effective communication with FM team, agency executives, client, cross-functional departments (IT, Occupancy Planning), and vendors
- 4+ years of facilities management experience in corporate environments, third-party service providers, or consulting, preferably with Class-A commercial properties
- Proven experience developing and managing OpEx and Cap Ex budgets, including forecasting and variance analysis
- Strong leadership background with demonstrated ability to mentor, build, and manage high-performing teams in fast-paced environments
- Excellent presentation and communication skills with ability to interface effectively with executives, clients, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Comprehensive knowledge of real estate operations, occupancy planning, accounting principles, and building systems
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Experience overseeing multiple facilities with diverse functions across different locations
$,000 with a 10% targeted bonus of the annual salary
