Primary PurposeLead the planning, coordination, and development of strategies focused on internal and external workforce development initiatives. The role involves leading a high‑performance team focused on establishing strategies for diverse candidates and those from under‑resourced communities to access opportunities for employment in PEPCO and the energy industry. Create STEM Education pipeline programs, engage external stakeholders, build alliances, and partner with talent acquisition, internal operating departments, equity work streams, and external stakeholders.
Establish strong relationships with communications and corporate relations teams, create strategic messaging and storytelling that promotes the PHI Workforce Development programs, develop metrics, track budget and outcomes, and interface with Exelon peer groups.
- Develop and manage stakeholder outreach strategy related to key initiatives aligned to the company’s strategic priorities. Lead a team to build alliances with community groups, municipalities, and external stakeholders (25%).
- Manage strategic projects and serve as a primary resource to other areas of the company by coordinating and strategizing policy and presentation of the company’s position, participating in briefings with stakeholders, and aligning with other business units to anticipate and develop outreach and funding strategies (20%).
- Attend key stakeholder meetings and report relevant information to affected areas of the company. Monitor filings and documents (15%).
- Track and obtain feedback from external stakeholder outreach. Develop strategies for measuring and evaluating program outcomes. Monitor metrics to measure program effectiveness (15%).
- Serve as a key point‑of‑contact for Exelon Workforce Initiative interface, develop and integrate planning and strategies, and direct teams to efficiently allocate cross‑functional resources (15%).
- Perform and participate in analyses of stakeholder‑related issues affecting the company (10%).
- Engage external stakeholders with opportunities to partner and collaborate on workforce initiatives.
- Establish strong working relationships with communications, corporate relations teams, and others to create strategic messaging that promotes the PHI Workforce Development programs and its successes.
- Serve as a face of PHI Workforce Development in the external service region with community groups, media, government officials, employer/contractors, economic development leads, educators, and non‑profit organizations to demonstrate thought leadership.
- Oversee identification and tracking of metrics and budget to provide reporting, demonstrate success, and meet established goals.
- Lead interfacing and coordination of outcomes with Exelon peer groups.
- Must work independently and be sensitive to issues important to the company, key stakeholders, customers, and the electric industry.
