About the Role

Inkhouse is searching for a Senior Account Executive (SAE) who will be responsible for juggling multiple accounts and writing effectively across different mediums for varied audiences. This fast‑paced, deadline‑oriented role will drive day‑to‑day media relations and work effectively as a member of key account teams. The SAE will be the lead media‑relations expert on their assigned accounts, especially with top‑tier press, and will provide guidance to other team members on the accounts.

Location

This role is based in our Boston, San Francisco, New York, Seattle, or Washington D.C. office and requires in‑office presence three days a week.

Accountabilities & Qualifications
  • Core media relations person on account: draft weekly pitch and assign targets
  • Backup client contact on all communications
  • Active participant on client calls, contributing to brainstorming, flagging concerns and problem‑solving with executive members of our client teams
  • Writes top‑tier press releases, bylines, blog posts
  • Writes pitches for campaigns and launches to serve as templates for the team
  • Drafts amplification memos for each media hit
  • Stays on top of news – leverages for regular proactive outreach
  • Comes up with creative ideas for clients each week
  • Stays up‑to‑date on PR trends and client trends
  • Suggests social‑media ideas and stays up‑to‑date for the team on new social‑media platforms, ideas, and information
  • Mentors junior staff and models positive Inkhouse values and behaviors
  • Oversees and offers strategic counsel on speaking and awards programs
  • Manages analyst programs
  • Liaisons with design team as needed for info graphic/design work
Essential Skills
  • 4–6 years of progressive experience in public relations
  • Must be passionate and interested in working on tech accounts, demonstrating enthusiasm and expertise
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for crafting compelling stories, pitches and professional client correspondence
  • Savviness and creativity in media relations and pitching, speaking opportunities and award submissions with the capability to identify new targets and thoughtful angles until the story lands
  • Ability to communicate clearly, effectively and with confidence, both verbally and in writing, with varying levels of staff, clients and the media, and is comfortable thinking on their feet
  • A demonstrated track record handling multiple client accounts simultaneously, working quickly and meeting deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
Salary Range

$70,000-$90,000 (commensurate with experience and skills)
