Coordinator of Youth Ministry - Holy Trinity Parish - Washington DC

Overview

Holy Trinity Church in Washington DC is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Coordinator of Youth Ministry to minister to and engage young people more deeply in living their Catholic faith.

This full‑time role reports to the Parish Managing Director and offers a salary of $60,000 to $70,000 per year with excellent benefits.

• Provide primary leadership for the design, implementation, and evaluation of parish ministry to junior and high school youth, deepening their relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Help youth become people who learn to accompany and serve others, especially those most in need.
• Dialogue and connect well with young people, their families, adult volunteers, and understand their spiritual needs and current experiences.
• Build a core team of volunteers and foster a youth leadership team to implement a multidimensional and holistic youth ministry program that includes advocacy, catechesis, community life, evangelization, justice and service, leadership development, pastoral care, prayer and worship.
• Assist with the Confirmation program for youth in the parish.
• Collaborate with other pastoral ministries in the parish as needed.
• Recruit and train adult volunteers, perform administrative tasks, and collaborate with parish ministries and programs including liturgy, Ignatian Spirituality, social justice ministries, and other Holy Trinity faith formation programs.
• Evening and weekend work is regularly required.

• Must be a practicing Catholic and an active member of a Roman Catholic parish faith community.
• Has a bachelor’s degree, preferably in theology or a related field, or a bachelor’s degree with experience in campus ministry or youth ministry.
• Possesses organizational, technological, and interpersonal skills.
• Has experience working with junior high and/or high school youth.
• Knowledge and experience of Ignatian spirituality is highly desirable.
