The Philanthropic Giving Manager plays a pivotal role in advancing the ACC Foundation’s mission by helping to cultivate a vibrant, sustainable culture of philanthropy across ACC members and the broader cardiovascular community. This position leads annual fundraising campaigns and new donor acquisition efforts, while building and stewarding meaningful relationships with a portfolio of mid level donors who are essential to the Foundation’s long term growth.

Beyond frontline fundraising, the Philanthropic Giving Manager strengthens the Foundation’s internal infrastructure by contributing to operational excellence by designing, documenting, and implementing clear systems, workflows, and standard operating procedures that elevate donor management, reporting, stewardship, and program scalability.

In close partnership with the Director of Philanthropy and support staff, this role helps shape donor engagement strategies and collaborates across the ACC ecosystem including members, volunteer leaders, state chapters, sections, and ACC leadership to foster a coordinated, donor centered approach to philanthropy that fuels the Foundation’s impact.

Responsibilities Fundraising, Donor Engagement and Stewardship
  • Working in close collaboration with the membership, marketing and communication, website, and IT teams to create strategies and manage plans for comprehensive and sustainable annual giving campaigns with a focus on new donor acquisition and retention of current annual fund donors.
  • Support and maintain stewardship activities across all donor levels (donor recognition, printed donor lists, personalized impact reports, impact stories, etc.).
  • Work with programming teams to create proposals and stewardship impact reports.
  • Coordinate across the College to develop a comprehensive solicitation calendar that takes advantage of other activities, programs, meetings, and communications while avoiding conflicts with other campaigns.
  • Generate and maintain donor reports, donor lists, and dashboards (for annual report and other reporting purposes)
  • Track and analyze giving trends and data to develop insights to inform plans and strategies for annual giving and to identify potential donors for mid-level and major giving.
  • Manage a small portfolio of mid-level giving donors, moving them through the pipeline and donor cycle to qualify and identify donors’ passions and create customized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship experiences for each donor in the portfolio.
  • Engage donors through consistent and active communication using phone, email, and face-to-face meetings. This includes leveraging events and meetings to cultivate and steward donor relationships.
  • Oversee gift acknowledgment processes and gift agreements across all philanthropic giving.
Operational and Fundraising Infrastructure
  • Set-up and maintain processes to track donor communications/interactions in Salesforce and develop reports to track and report on progress.
  • Set-up and maintain processes and oversee donor stewardship efforts including acknowledgements and donor recognition.
  • Working with teams across the ACC to set-up and manage campaigns and tracking (Salesforce, finance, web team, Mar Com etc.).
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience with a focus on operational support and front-line fundraising.
  • Understanding of fundraising strategies and trends, donor lifecycle, and fundraising best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in relationship building and solicitation of gifts at varying levels.
  • Demonstrated experience in growing annual fund campaigns and new donor acquisition.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in writing fundraising solicitations and communications.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with matrixed teams on fundraising activities.
  • Commitment to ACCF mission and ability to authentically engage and inspire others in the College’s mission.
  • Ability to travel.
