BRIDGE is WWF's summer internship program. Launched in 2021, it is a paid internship opportunity aimed at a pool of talented undergraduate and graduate students who could bring fresh thinking and innovation to the environmental sector. In particular, WWF aims to employ interns who have not previously had a breadth of professional experience and have not previously considered conservation as a career pathway.

Position Summary

WWF seeks a BRIDGE CARE-WWF Alliance Undergraduate Intern.

The CARE-WWF Alliance works at the critical intersection of development and conservation. Powered by two global leaders in their respective fields, the Alliance leverages complementary skills, competencies, and scale to strengthen ecosystems, support women and the communities who depend on them, and help build a future where people and nature thrive.

To bring about sustainable change, we must improve people's well-being while ensuring the viability of the ecosystems on which they depend. The joint presence of CARE and WWF in more than 40 countries provides the opportunity for an initiative of global scope and significance. Together, CARE and WWF can tackle complex challenges, increasing both community and ecosystem resilience.

Internship Description:

Gather, organize, and review historical documents (proposals, reports, strategies, meeting notes, partnership memos, etc.) from both CARE and WWF.

• Conduct interviews with CARE and WWF team members involved in past and current collaborations to identify examples of innovation, community impact, conservation outcomes, and cross-organizational value.

• Synthesize information from the historical documents and interviews into key takeaways and map all known CARE-WWF interactions that led to projects, proposals, or co-developed concepts.

• Compile any data on project funding and outcomes to quantify our partnership's value-add, and summarize any qualitative information to show knowledge transfer, gender integration, local leadership, and policy influence.

• Organize documentation and findings into a centralized, searchable system and ensure information is communicated internally on our SharePoint sites.

Minimum Requirements:

• Pursuing an associate's or bachelor's program in environmental studies, international relations, humanities, or knowledge management. Those studying outside these areas are still highly encouraged to apply. Must be an actively enrolled student and not received degree at time of internship start date (June 1, 2026).
