Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU position in Washington, DC, requiring a minimum of 2 years of US hospital ICU experience, Cerner proficiency, and an active DC RN license.

Job Details

• 9-week contract in a hospital ICU setting,

• Multidisciplinary ICU serving neurological, neuro-surgical, medical, surgical, pulmonary, cardiology, cardiothoracic, and trauma patients,

• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM),

• 36 hours per week,

• Cerner EMR is used and experience is required,

• Technology in use includes ventilators, ventriculostomies, cardiac monitors, pulmonary artery catheters, arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, IABP, ECMO/tandem heart, Impella, BIS monitors, continuous pulse oximetry, CRRT, gastric tubes, and IV infusion pumps,

Job Requirements

• Active, unrestricted DC RN license required (no pending licensure accepted),

• Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS (AHA-issued only), NIHSS, and CPI,

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience in a US hospital required,

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required,

• BSN highly desired,

• Cerner EMR experience required,

• US Social Security Number required,

• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the past 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer,

• Date of birth required for consideration,

• Provides critical care to a diverse patient population using advanced monitoring and life-support technology,

• Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position,
