Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking dedicated and compassionate School Nurses (LPNs) to support students within a school health suite environment. In this role, you will assume responsibility and accountability for applying the nursing process and delivering student-centered care in accordance with professional standards, physician orders, and Amergis Healthcare Staffing policies.

This position may include supervisory responsibilities within contracted services.

• Provide direct nursing care to students in a school health suite setting
• Deliver services consistent with Amergis Healthcare Staffing’s philosophy and clinical standards
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation (no electronic charting system used)
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers
• Follow all federal, state, and local regulations
• Participate in a multi-week orientation program
• Perform duties as assigned within an itinerant school model

• Graduate of an accredited Registered, Practical, or Vocational Nursing Program
• Active DC LPN license
• Licensed as an LPN/LVN or RN in applicable state(s)
• 1 year of professional experience preferred
• Current CPR certification
• PPD or chest X-ray (if applicable)
• Current health certificate (as required by contract or state regulation)
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
