Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Outpatient Infusion/Oncology position requiring a DC RN license, ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification, and at least one prior travel assignment.

• Outpatient infusion center setting specializing in oncology (Lombardi Cancer Center)
• Oncology patient population including chemotherapy, biotherapy, and oncologic emergencies
• Skills utilized include IV therapy/infusions, medication administration, IV push narcotic agents, isolation and neutropenic precautions, and symptom management
• Phlebotomy skills and prior charge experience are preferred
• BMT and inpatient oncology experience is preferred
• Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity
• Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility may be subject to a local pay rate
• Flu vaccine required
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
• Any time off or scheduling requests must be disclosed upfront

• Active DC RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• Current certifications required: BLS and Chemotherapy ONS/ONCC
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required
• Outpatient oncology and infusion center experience required
