About the Position

Experience:
Minimum 2 years ICU experience required; PACU experience preferred; PREOP experience a plus; recent PACU/Preop experience required; no surgicenter experience.
License:
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state.
Certifications:
PALS, BLS, ACLS required; CPAN, TNCC, CCRN highly desirable.
Must-Have:
Ability to think critically and work independently.
Description:
Must live within 50 miles.
Days are 3/12 hour shifts.
Day shift times include , , , , , , , , and .
On-call required.
The positions are for Main PACU.
Monitor post-operative patients' levels of recovery and consciousness from anesthesia and provide updates to the medical team as needed.
Obtain and record patients' vital signs.
Observe patients for signs of side effects of anesthesia medication.
Treat pain, nausea, and other post-operative symptoms of anesthesia and administer medication as prescribed.
Update charting (EMR), patient files, and medical records.
Educate patients and their families on post-surgery care and answer any questions.
