Travel RN - Med​/Surg - Infusion

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an outpatient Infusion/Oncology position requiring a DC RN license in hand, active chemo certifications, and at least one prior travel assignment.

Job Details

• Outpatient infusion center setting focused on oncology (Lombardi Cancer Center),

• Patient population includes oncology patients receiving chemotherapy, biotherapy, and infusion therapies,

•

Schedule:

4x10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM,

• Every other weekend coverage required,

• Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity,

Job Requirements

• Active DC RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration,

• Current certifications required: BLS, and Chemotherapy ONS/ONCC,

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required,

• At least 1 prior travel assignment required,

•

Required skills:

biotherapy, chemotherapy administration, IV therapy/infusions, medication administration, oncologic emergencies, IV push narcotic agents, isolation precautions, neutropenic precautions, and symptom management,

• Outpatient oncology and infusion center experience required,

• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration,

• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Preferred experience includes bone marrow transplant (BMT) and inpatient oncology,

• Phlebotomy skills and prior charge nurse experience are preferred,

• Flu vaccine required,

• Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are considered local and will be offered a local pay rate,

• BSN credential should be included in application materials if applicable
