Travel RN - Med​/Surg Tele

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a day shift Med/Surg Tele assignment in Washington, DC, requiring a DC RN license and at least two years of recent Med/Surg Tele experience.

Job Details

• Hospital-based Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit,

• Provides care to adult patients requiring medical and telemetry monitoring,

• Utilizes Cerner EMR system,

• Day shift position with 3 x 12-hour shifts per week,

• No on-call required,

• Must live at least 25 miles from the facility,

Job Requirements

• Active DC RN license required at time of consideration,

• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required,

• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required,

• CPI certification mandated for this position,

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) highly desired,

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required,

• At least 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele experience in a US hospital required,

• At least 2 years of total RN experience required,

• Cerner EMR experience required,

• Must provide two manager or supervisor references, with at least one from the most recent employer,

• U.S. Social Security Number and documentation required for consideration,

• Responsibilities include initial and ongoing patient assessment, documentation, and implementation of care plans,

• Deliver care in accordance with licensure, certification, and regulatory requirements,

• Works collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to meet patient needs,

• Must provide age-appropriate care across the lifespan as needed,
