What You’ll Be Doing
  • Lead the Nursing Department, ensuring quality standards of care per federal, state, and facility regulations.
  • Act in place of the Administrator in the Administrator’s absence, handling center operations.
  • Conduct the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—under the state’s Nurse Practice Act.
  • Oversee nursing staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan and coordinate resident care plans.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing, accreditation, and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a mentor and role model for nursing personnel.
Requirements
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
  • License:
    Registered RN with a current license in the District of Columbia.
  • Experience:

    Five years in long‑term or acute healthcare preferred; at least two years of nursing supervisory experience required.
  • Certification:
    Compliant with the State’s Nurse Practice Act.
  • Safety Sensitive designation required.
Salary / Wage Range

Compensation is based on qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, within the stated pay range.
