Responsibilities
Join a high-acuity Neuro Ortho unit at George Washington University Hospital, where you'll care for complex patients-including stroke, TBI, and spine cases-while building advanced clinical skills in a leading academic medical center.
Unit Overview- 42-bed acute care unit (Neuro Ortho)
- Comprehensive Stroke Unit
- Level IV Epilepsy Center
- Patient population includes:
- Stroke and neurologic conditions
- Traumatic brain injury
- Spine and orthopedic surgery patients
- High-acuity experience in neuro and trauma care
- Strong clinical support and leadership

- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
- BLS
- Current state nursing license.
- Prefer one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting.
- Requirements specified for specialty unit
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to adapt to multiple and changing priorities
