COBOL/JCL Test Engineer with hands‑on mainframe testing experience to assess and validate the effectiveness of AI‑assisted testing and development outputs. The role focuses on comparing traditional testing approaches with AI‑enabled outcomes to measure quality, accuracy, and productivity improvements.
Key Responsibilities- Execute functional, regression, and batch testing for COBOL programs and JCL jobs on mainframe environments
- Validate AI‑generated test cases, test data, and defect identification against manual and baseline results
- Establish JCL and batch test scenarios to evaluate AI effectiveness in test coverage and defect detection
- Analyse discrepancies between AI‑assisted outputs and expected mainframe behaviour
- Document test results, variances, and insights to support AI benchmarking and reporting
- Collaborate with QA, mainframe SMEs, and AI enablement teams to refine validation approaches
