We are looking for passionate and client-focused onsite Quality Assurance Inspector for engagement on significant projects in the Nation’s Capital.
In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring construction quality and compliance, contributing to the successful delivery of projects.
As a member of our team, you will observe, document, and verify construction activities to ensure conformance with contract drawings and specifications. You will serve as Jacobs' primary onsite representative, playing a key role in monitoring project progress, supporting quality assurance, and helping ensure successful project delivery.
Key responsibilities include- Perform daily, quality-focused inspections of materials and workmanship during project construction.
- Monitor labor and safety conditions.
- Maintain daily inspection logs and photographs including records of defects and/or omissions.
- Document differing conditions or field issues encountered and assist with resolution.
- Monitor performance of the work compared to established schedules and report any deviations.
- Coordinate Fire and Life Safety, Environmental and other 3rd-Party testing.
- Participate in progress meetings with clients, design professionals, and construction contractors
- Facilitate and document QA/QC meetings including Pre-Installation conferences.
- Monitor submittals, RFIs, and Changes as they relate to work in progress.
- Experience on Building Projects valued at $10M or more. This can include building renovations.
- At least 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Control.
- At least 10 years’ experience in buildings projects.
- Experience in electrical and mechanical construction or renovation projects.
- Familiarity with OSHA Regulations and construction testing.
- Demonstrated ability working with client, contractor, and design teams.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications and use of PMIS.
- Physical requirements include accessing all areas of buildings in a safe manner including using ladders.
- Requires strong verbal skills for face-to-face meetings and sound writing skills for reports.
- An associate or bachelor’s degree (2- or 4-year program)
- Additional relevant professional training or certifications

The base salary range for this position is $ to $. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
