The Office of the Vice Provost for Research (OVPR) supports the research infrastructure and initiatives.
Role DescriptionThe postdoc will design, organize, and conduct advanced experiments using established protocols, troubleshoot, and develop new protocols, summarize findings, and publish results. They may also oversee scientific operations and supervise lab staff and trainees.
Examples of Duties- Holds a PhD or equivalent in a related discipline.
- Develops skills through mentorship and research activities.
- Receives financial support via fellowship or stipend.
- Limited term of up to five years at GW.
This role involves participation in discovery research, data analysis, publication, and conference presentations, with mentorship on career development.
Special InstructionsAppointments are limited-term, usually for at least one term, not exceeding five years. Not intended for long-term or career appointments.
