Job Description: The Research Assistant will use the library databases to find materials for an antiracist research project. The Research Assistant should be able to distinguish between credible and less‑than‑credible books, films, and articles. The Research Assistant should also have strong reading and writing skills and must be able to commit 5 hours a week.

• Use the library databases to find materials for an antiracist research project.
• Distinguish between credible and less‑than‑credible books, films, and articles.
• Keep research findings organized for the writer in residence.
• Learn and conduct editorial work on the project.
• Collaborate with the professor on ongoing research projects.
• Conduct literature reviews and assist in data collection and analysis.
• Contribute to the preparation of research publications and presentations.

• Part‑Time.
• 5 hours per week.

• $17.95 per hour.

• This position is available only to enrolled American University students with a Federal Work Study Award.
