Senior Research Associate

• assist with various analytic, research, and logistic tasks to support the research portfolio of the Center for Global Health Science and Security
• work closely with Dr. Rebecca Katz, the Director of the Center for Global Health Science and Security
• contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects relating to global health and health security
• support the operations of the Health Security Operations Center, which includes research of health threats and continued production of the Situation Reports
• facilitate the National Center Outbreak Response Experts team
• help shape communications strategies in support of the Center

• Graduate degree in law, public policy, epidemiology, public health, health economics, health policy, or related discipline.
• 5-7 years of professional work experience
• Demonstrated interest in global health and health security
• Ability to prioritize, focus and achieve results in a fast paced and complex environment
• Ability to initiate and complete tasks under tight deadlines and changing priorities, while maintaining attention to results and detail
• Ability to professionally and effectively communicate and work others in order to achieve team goals
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration with a team
• Required skills:
  
  Communication (oral & verbal), database management, literature review, online research
• Preferred skills: data visualization and languages in addition to English

Demonstrates expertise in global health and health security, with strong capabilities in communication, research, and project management. Proficient in database management and literature review, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments.
