• Must be able to communicate with vendors and review orders, invoices, and receipts
• Must possess basic mathematical skills
• Must be able to learn how to judge the quality and, in some cases, the quantity of foodstuffs by sight, taste, smell, and touch
• Available to work a variable schedule including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays
• Work productively and cooperatively in a high volume, fast-paced, highly pressured environment, and lead and respond efficiently to unanticipated problems and crises

• Receive requisitions for foodstuff and supplies, and fill the orders in a timely manner; lift, carry and deliver requisitioned items to the kitchen and dining room staff.
• Receive orders at receiving, and sort, count, and weigh food, goods and supplies and check quality and condition of same; at the time of delivery, verify and if necessary adjust quantities, prices, and descriptions on the invoices against what was ordered; file invoices in the purchasing office.
• Label, date, and store in proper containers and designated storage areas all food, goods and supplies immediately upon their arrival; rotate products in storage according to the FIFO method.
• Maintain, clean and organize receiving and storage areas to facilitate requisitions of product by restaurant personnel; also maintain mechanical rooms, loading docks, prep rooms, elevator pit and trash areas.
• Remove all trash from interior and exterior facility.
• Change gas tanks, beer kegs, soda and wine canisters.
