Business Development, Client Relationship Manager
We are seeking a Client Relationship Executive (CRE) for our client, a leader in business consulting. The CRE initiates, qualifies, and develops new business with target organizations to meet or exceed established sales objectives. Operating as a relationship-focused sales executive, the CRE generates new business opportunities across all service lines within a designated geographic market and industry verticals, ensuring prospects align with the firm’s strategic direction.
Reporting to a regional sales leader, the CRE manages a defined portfolio of assigned target accounts and select existing clients with significant revenue expansion potential.
The role requires close collaboration with local office leadership to align pursuit strategies with priority target account lists and key market initiatives.
Overview of Responsibilities- Generate new sales opportunities through systematic prospecting, outreach, and relationship development to secure meetings and referrals
- Achieve sales targets with minimal oversight while projecting executive presence and building collaborative relationships with Partners and C-Suite executives
- Identify and engage key decision makers at the C-Suite and Board levels; conduct enterprise-level conversations on Growth, Risk, Profitability, and Performance Management
- Develop winning strategies by understanding client needs and coaching teams through the pursuit lifecycle
- Lead sales presentations, client meetings, and account strategies that leverage company resources to address prospective business needs
- Build professional networks through trade organizations, industry events, and marketing-led outreach campaigns to strengthen the company brand
- Partner with service line leaders to maximize cross-selling opportunities and develop competitive pricing strategies
- Maintain daily CRM updates to ensure accurate data reporting, customer information, and sales pipeline tracking
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree: advanced degree/MBA is a plus.
- Network of active C-Suite contacts
- Ability to immediately leverage existing network of Boards of Directors, C-Suite Officers, and private investors.
- Over 10 years of business development/sales experience in professional services and/or complex solution selling environments selling at the Board of Directors and C-Suite level.
- Proven record of driving targeting efforts, building relationships, and influencing buying decisions.
- A fundamental understanding of accounting concepts is required; prior experience in an Accounting or Finance role is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in assigned industry vertical.
- Impeccable written and verbal communication skills.
- Broad-based knowledge of company’s offerings, services, and applicability to business triggers.
