Business Development Account Executive – WUSA9 – TEGNA & Premion (Washington, DC, Hybrid)

Responsibilities- Prospect, research, and generate new business leads through outbound outreach and disciplined follow‑up.
- Qualify prospects and secure first business meetings with decision‑makers.
- Build and manage a sales pipeline across key verticals such as home improvement/services, healthcare, tourism, and more.
- Present consultative solutions that leverage broadcast, digital, streaming (OTT/CTV), and cross‑platform strategies tailored to client needs.
- Collaborate with internal strategy, creative, and activation teams to design campaigns that drive tangible results for clients.
- Track activity and forecast pipeline in CRM with accuracy and consistency.
- Meet and exceed personal and team revenue goals through daily disciplined activity.
- Self‑driven, resourceful, and motivated individual who owns their success.
- Comfortable and consistent with outreach across phone, email, social, and in‑person meetings.
- Curious communicator who enjoys engaging with business leaders and solving complex marketing challenges.
- Proven discipline with activity metrics and revenue‑generating tasks.
- Desire to build relationships and grow professionally in a large and rapidly growing company.
- Prior experience in SDR/inside sales, business development, media sales, or related roles is a strong plus but not required.
Base Salary: $60,000
On‑Target Earnings (Year
1): $90,000
