Position: Vice President of Strategic Growth (Political)

The Vice President of Strategic Growth is a senior leader responsible for driving Campaign

HQ’s new revenue by acquiring and reactivating political clients. We help the best consultants, campaigns, and organizations in America reach real voters with real conversations, and we win.

Reporting directly to the Chief Client Officer, the VP will focus on building high-value relationships across campaigns, consultants, PACs, and party committees, with a mandate to deliver a seven-figure revenue target in new and reactivated clients in 2026.

This role is not about making one-time sales. It’s about embedding Campaign

HQ into the political ecosystem as a trusted, indispensable partner. The VP of Strategic Growth will expand CHQ’s reach into networks where we are not yet naturally present, leveraging relationships built over multiple cycles and creating lasting partnerships that give our friends the winning edge. If you live for competition, relationships, and delivering results that matter, this is where you belong.

Responsibilities

Strategic Growth

  • Partner with the Chief Client Officer and President to define and execute the political growth strategy, ensuring alignment with CHQ’s mission, values and financial goals.
  • Drive new client acquisition and lapsed client reactivation by cultivating and bringing high-value opportunities to fruition with major campaigns, PACs, independent expenditure and issue advocacy groups, state legislative caucuses, and multi-client political consultants.
  • Maintain responsibility for new relationships throughout the cycle, maximizing their potential while handing off execution to the Client Success team.
  • Identify opportunities to diversify CHQ’s political client base, engaging with consultants and organizations in networks beyond CHQ’s current reach.

Revenue Generation

  • Consistently deliver measurable results against quarterly and annual growth targets.
  • Create and maintain a robust prospect pipeline through proactive outreach, events, referrals, and relationship cultivation.
  • Represent CHQ at high-value political events and conferences to generate leads and expand the firm’s profile with decision-makers.
  • Position CHQ as the must-have partner for political organizations facing the challenge of effective voter contact and mobilization.
  • Industry Leadership and Visibility
  • Act as a public ambassador for CHQ in the political space, representing the company with credibility, confidence, and urgency.
  • Build relationships with political influencers, consultants, and decision-makers who can expand CHQ’s footprint into new networks.
  • Demonstrate subject matter expertise on how CHQ products: live persuasion and GOTV calls, telephone townhalls, text messages, patch through and automated calls solve client problems and deliver wins.

Collaboration and Alignment

  • Work in close partnership with the Chief Client Officer to ensure growth strategies align with client success and marketing initiatives.
  • Provide intelligence from the field to shape CHQ’s marketing campaigns, product positioning, and outreach priorities.
  • Collaborate with Client Success teams to ensure seamless integration between strategy and execution, delivering on our Smart. Fast. Reliable. brand promise.
  • Live out CHQ’s core values:
Relentless Drive, Ready for Anything, Together We Triumph, and Sweating the Small Stuff, in every client and team interaction.
Success Metrics
  • Quarterly and Annual New Revenue
  • Number of New Political Clients Acquired
  • Lapsed Clients Reactivated
  • Volume of purposeful conversations

Event/Conference ROI (leads and conversions generated)
  • Net Promoter Score from new political clients
Qualifications
  • 5+ years’ experience in political campaigns, consulting, or vendor sales.
  • Deep, multi-cycle relationships with consultants, campaigns, PACs, or committees.
  • Demonstrated ability to open doors in networks where CHQ is not yet present.
  • Strong understanding of grassroots voter contact strategies, tactics, and metrics.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, fast-moving, confident, and detail-oriented.
  • Disciplined in tracking outreach, pipeline, and results.
  • Based in Washington, DC, with frequent (30-40%) travel for events and client meetings.
Compensation
  • Base salary range: $110-125K
  • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, HSA/FSA, disability and life insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid holidays, and PTO.

This role is not for: bureaucrats, passive networkers, or people who wait for warm intros. We move fast, take initiative, and out-work competitors. If you’re competitive, connected, and ready to help campaigns win, we want to talk.
