Position: Senior Sales Manager - Washington Hilton

The Washington Hilton is looking for a dynamic Senior Sales Manager to join their team.

Washington Hilton offers a contemporary urban retreat in the heart of Washington, D.C.’s most sought‑after neighborhoods, including Dupont Circle, Adams Morgan, the U Street Corridor, and Embassy Row. Since opening in 1965, this historic hotel has welcomed presidents, dignitaries, prominent figures, and countless prestigious events. The property features 118,000 square feet of event space, including its legendary 30,000‑square‑foot International Ballroom, along with 1,107 guestrooms.

The hotel also offers four distinct on‑site dining outlets.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of experience in a senior‑level hotel sales role and a strong background in a full‑service convention hotel environment. They excel across all market segments and demonstrate a deep understanding of the business of sales—meaning they can effectively analyze business opportunities, build and maintain senior‑level client relationships, secure group business, and navigate contracts with confidence.

Pattern

This role is primarily Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm with required ability to be flexible with time to accommodate any client engagement events and site inspections.

Pay Range

This is a salaried role in a pay range of $95,000.00–$ annually and will be aligned with the candidate’s experience and qualifications. This position qualifies to be part of the Hilton Sales Incentive plan that is paid quarterly, based on performance.

Responsibilities

In a fast‑paced, ever‑changing hotel sales office, the Senior Sales Manager will perform the following tasks:

  • Research, solicit and generate new leads for group opportunities through database research and proactive sales efforts, maximizing new room revenue streams and meeting lead generation goals.
  • Represent the hotel in the development of market segments and new customer relationships while maintaining existing relations with assigned accounts, consistently striving to maximize revenue and profitability for all hotel revenue streams.
  • Develop a business strategy by analyzing historical, current and future hotel and market trends, implementing marketing initiatives to capture the maximum amount of lead revenue and exceed sales goals.
  • Engage with Hilton Worldwide Sales, Convention Bureau and Intermediaries to retain existing customers and secure new business for the Hotel.
  • Develop and execute plans to engage in outside sales calls, industry trade shows and customer events.
  • Maintain an up‑to‑date pipeline of business opportunities that meet short and long‑term business objectives.
  • Represent the hotel in all interactions dealing with customers relating to sales, including creating business proposals and executing contracts.
  • Conduct site inspections, coordinate customer specifications and document account details in Delphi FDC or other lead management systems.
  • Negotiate contracts and commission agreements with end‑user customers and intermediaries, ensuring financial goals are achieved while strengthening relationships.
