Location: Washington, DC
Compensation: Base salary ranging from $210,000 to $230,000, plus a 20-30% commission bonus.
Role Overview
Situated in Washington, DC, the successful candidate will be responsible for crafting and implementing a robust federal sales strategy. This includes spearheading business development, managing capture processes, and overseeing proposal submissions throughout the government contracting lifecycle. In-depth knowledge of Other Transaction Authorities (OTAs) and the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process is essential to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities.
The role requires direct reporting to executive leadership and plays a crucial role in shaping our federal strategy and market outreach.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive business development and sales initiatives within federal circles, engaging with key stakeholders in government and defense sectors.
- Lead the entire sales cycle from initial prospecting to contract finalization, ensuring alignment with broader company objectives.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of procurement trends and contracting vehicles.
- Represent the organization at industry events and facilitate cross-functional collaboration for seamless solution delivery.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in federal sales, business development, or government contracting related to software, aerospace, or satellite communications.
- An active TS/SCI clearance is mandatory.
- Demonstrated success in selling software solutions to federal agencies with comprehensive knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD), intelligence, and acquisition processes.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with the ability to operate independently in a dynamic environment.
