Position: Scientist - Chemist with Security Clearance
Responsibilities Noblis is actively seeking a Scientist - Chemist to join our talented team of intelligence professionals and scientists supporting the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) CBRN Threat Intelligence Team. The chemist will provide their technical chemical expertise when analyzing open source and classified reporting and while supporting intelligence analysts with their assessments and incorporation of chemical information in their intelligence reports and products.

The senior chemist will also produce and present products on the potential use of chemicals by nefarious actors to attack the homeland. Specific responsibilities include:
* Provide technical expertise and analysis of chemical agents and associated potential threats through informal collaboration with other analysts and scientists, and by producing or contributing to formal products as required and requested, including white papers, intelligence reports, briefings, and oral presentations.

General Responsibilities:

Professionals in science are dedicated to advancing knowledge, solving real-world problems through scientific inquiry and initiate the design, development, execution and implementation of technology research projects. They utilize their expertise in scientific principles, research methodologies, and specialized techniques to conduct studies and investigations in various fields. Typical responsibilities include designing and executing research projects, collecting and analyzing data, and interpreting results to draw meaningful conclusions and insights.

Science roles also involve developing and testing hypotheses, designing experiments and protocols, and ensuring compliance with ethical and regulatory guidelines. Additionally, professionals may be involved in writing research reports and articles for publication, presenting findings at conferences and seminars, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to address complex scientific challenges. Their expertise in areas such as experimental design, data analysis, and scientific communication enables organizations to innovate and make significant contributions to scientific knowledge and societal progress.

You are responsible for leading individual projects, people, or technical/functional solutions. As a senior scientist, you work on advanced problems or assignments of large scope, impact, and importance, applying broad and deep knowledge of your professional specialty. You work on assignments in multiple technical areas; apply advanced concepts and understanding of policies, procedures, and techniques. You build and maintain effective relationships for customer service and project support;

demonstrate initiative and proactively identify and communicate needs. You positively influence at the team or department level and participate in policy and procedure development. You receive general supervision but apply seasoned judgment autonomously and with minimal guidance, demonstrating adaptability and responsible, independent decision-making and take appropriate and ethical actions to meet organizational goals.

Required Qualifications
* Master's degree and 3+ years of experience, Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience, or no degree and 10+ years of experience in chemistry or biochemistry fields
* Active Top Secret/SCI clearance
* Ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security (DHS) suitability
* Excellent communication skills to include technical writing, editing, and oral presentations
* Well organized, critical thinker, exceptional customer service skills for engaging with federal government clients
* Ability to work tasks autonomously and follow through to completion
* Ability to multi-task and respond to quick turn-around requests
* Competence to function efficiently in a fast-paced, demanding work environment focused on intelligence production Desired Qualifications
* Previous professional work with federal, state or local governments entities, particularly intelligence or law enforcement
* Previous professional work with FEMA
* Demonstrated knowledge of complex system development, system integration, and/or system implementation
* Four years of experience providing direct or consultant scientific support to major programs or system development efforts related to human, animal, or plant health and medical consequences of CBRN events or a combination of experience in these areas and the homeland security pillars of prevention, protection, response, or recovery

* Experience developing a variety of analytic decision support products meeting n ational decision makers' and stakeholders' requirements

* Experience as a technical expert supporting CWMD programs.
