To execute through administration, technical and management techniques assigned projects to ensure the successful completion, on time and within allocated budget.

Leadership and Direction

• Receive broad guidance relating to overall key objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters and broad parameters for execution. Receive direction on highly complex assignments. Independently apply extensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields. Review work produced by staff for quality assurance.

At the Operational and Company Level

• Coordinate with other internal departments to meet project requirements.
• Assist with the marketing of the firm’s capabilities to establish new clients and enhance relationships.

Do the Work

• Supervise and conduct complex field biology assessments including, but not limited to, wetland delineations, wildlife identification, endangered species/habitat/biological assessments and surveys, wetland and stream mitigation design and monitoring, and environmental site assessments.
• Meet with prospective clients, prepare proposals and establish budgets and schedules.
• Direct and prepare scopes of work, study designs, reports, and environmental permit packages.

• Maintain close liaison with clients to resolve all project questions, such as, but not limited to, technical requirements, completion requirements and billing inquiries.
• Support business development in generation of new business.
• Support the preparation of project proposals, budgets, and schedules.
• Work directly with clients to achieve site planning and permitting needs.
• Prepare environmental reports, and federal, state, and local permit applications.

• Research and interpret federal, state and local regulations and requirements.
• Collect, manage and analyze environmental data and information.
• Evaluate project permitting feasibility.
• Interface with regulatory agencies.
• Participate in project meetings including client, agency, and public forums.

• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization and external partners to include colleagues (scientists, engineers, and surveyors), clients, landowners, government agency personnel, and the general public.
