Job Description & How to Apply Below
Models routinely propose impossible mechanisms, unsafe procedures, and syntheses that no bench chemist would attempt.
As a Chemist you'll evaluate AI chemical reasoning, catch what's wrong or unsafe, and write the answers a trained chemist would give.
What you’ll actually do- Write prompts that probe chemical reasoning: mechanisms, synthesis routes, and analytical interpretation.
- Review AI output for impossible mechanisms, unsafe procedures, and misread spectra, and rate the reasoning.
- Write the correct answer when the model falls short, with proper attention to conditions and safety.
- Graduate-level chemistry background or equivalent lab experience.
- Comfort across organic, inorganic, or physical chemistry.
- Clear written English: your explanations are the training signal.
- No degree required. We care about what you can do, not where you learned it.
Up to $40 – $125+/hr depending on task difficulty and specialization. Many contributors add $10k–$100k+ a year; some make it their full-time income.
About Data AnnotationData Annotation is where 100k+ experts train the world’s leading AI models. $150M+ paid to contributors to date, and the average contributor stays 5+ years. Flexible, remote, and always project-available.
