Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational location;
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including dispatching requests for assistance and documenting actions taken;
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter policy violations and unauthorized access;
Control access by monitoring entry points, checking identification and/or visitor authorization as required, and directing guests to appropriate locations;
Complete routine reports and logs, communicate observations to site leadership, and assist with traffic and/or event support as assigned
