As a Security Officer - Building Entry Desk in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will greet visitors, verify access, manage badges and logs, and monitor entry points and cameras while providing a welcoming, customer-focused presence. You will respond to questions and security-related concerns, communicate clearly with staff, and help to deter incidents through visibility and professionalism.

Mon 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM;
Fri 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM;

• Provide customer service at the front desk by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Greet and screen visitors, verify identification and/or appointments, issue visitor credentials, and direct guests to the appropriate location in accordance with facility procedures.
• Monitor access control systems, alarms, and camera views as assigned, and document unusual activity and/or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
• Complete required reports and logs, maintain shift documentation, and communicate key information during post hand-off to help deter unauthorized access and/or disruptions.

• Have 1+ years of security experience.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
