Summary: The Residential Safety Associate is responsible for providing safety services ensuring a safe and secure environment for residents, guests, and team members. A summary of responsibilities includes but not limited to promoting and guarding the community property and assets against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry by unauthorized persons while meeting and/or exceeding Grand Oaks service standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Conduct safety and security inspections of all community property to include common areas, resident corridors, parking areas, and perimeter access.
- Patrol community buildings and grounds as scheduled; may be required to register at watch stations to record time of inspection.
- Examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure that they are secure.
- Patrol community property to prevent and discover activity in violation of criminal, fire, or safety codes.
- Watch for and report irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and security doors left unsecured.
- Investigate and report all acts of unlawful or safety hazards that would endanger persons or property.
- Investigate all incidents and suspicious occurrences, filing incident reports appropriately.
- Respond to all security calls and complaints, taking necessary action and handling on-scene emergency situations until relieved by a Supervisor.
- Inspect and report all dangerous conditions and any damaged or defective equipment, machinery, or property.
- Secure and unlock areas and buildings in accordance with policy and community expectation.
- High School Diploma or GED desired.
- Candidate must be 21 years of age or older for our automobile insurance.
- Valid Driver's License with clean driving record/history with no more than 2 points.
- Minimum of two years of security experience is highly preferred.
- May have to work other shifts as necessary. 30‑day notice prior to any shift change.

Salary RangeMinimum /hour - Maximum /hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
