Security Police Officer

Join Chenega as a Security Police Officer (SPO) supporting one of the nation's premier federal agencies,
NASA
. In this critical public safety role, you'll help protect NASA personnel, facilities, and assets while responding to emergencies, enforcing security protocols, conducting patrols, and maintaining a secure environment. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact through service, professionalism, and public protection.

• Protect NASA personnel, facilities, equipment, and property through armed patrols, access control, inspections, and security enforcement activities.
• Respond to emergencies, conduct investigations, enforce applicable laws and regulations, and provide a visible security presence across the site.
• Monitor and control vehicle and pedestrian access, perform facility and vehicle inspections, and interact professionally with employees, visitors, contractors, and government personnel.
• Maintain operational readiness by following established security procedures, communicating effectively via radio and telephone, and supporting emergency response operations as needed.
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years of age and able to meet all armed security officer requirements.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and be eligible to obtain a DoD security clearance.
• Must successfully meet drug-free workplace requirements, including random drug and alcohol testing.
• Must be able to complete and maintain all required certifications and training necessary to perform armed security duties.
• Successfully pass background and drug screening

Preferred Qualifications:

• One year of military, law enforcement, or armed security experience.
• Graduate of a federal, state, local, military, or recognized law enforcement/security training academy.
• Completion of NTOA Basic Tactical Course or a comparable tactical training program.
• Completion of NBTS, IC-100, and IC-200 certifications.
• Honorable military discharge, if applicable.

USD $38.16/Hr.
