We are hiring dependable Unarmed Security Officers to support client sites across the District of Columbia. Where you'll workThis position serves client locations throughout the Washington, DC area, including retail stores, shopping centers, office buildings, and similar venues. Officers are assigned based on operational needs, so your specific worksite may change between assignments. We are hiring officers who can reliably work at sites within and around the District.
Responsibilities- Maintain a steady, visible presence that deters theft, vandalism, and unauthorized entry
- Control and monitor entrances, exits, and other access points
- Greet and assist visitors, employees, and members of the public in a courteous manner
- Patrol assigned interior and exterior areas on foot throughout the shift
- Calmly de‑escalate disputes and manage disruptive behavior
- Document incidents and complete clear daily activity reports
- Notify site management and, when warranted, local authorities of emergencies
- Possess or be able to obtain the security officer credential required for your work location — Washington DC (MPD Security Officer license), Virginia (DCJS unarmed registration), or Maryland (Security Guard certification through our licensed agency). We help candidates obtain the right credential for the jurisdiction they'll work in.
- Meet the minimum age and eligibility requirements for DC, MD, and VA security licensing
- Pass a criminal background check
- Be authorized to work across the DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland region
- Strong communication skills and steady situational awareness
- Reliable means of commuting to assigned sites across the areas
- Be able to remain on your feet and stay alert for the length of a shift
- Prior security, loss prevention, or customer‑facing experience is welcome but not required
- Flexible scheduling with shifts that fit your availability
- Weekly pay (as per company pay cycles)
- Opportunities to pick up additional shifts across multiple client sites

- Uniform and equipment:
Officers maintain a clean, professional Class A black uniform (ability to obtain required). Radios and other equipment may be issued.
Shifts may include days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays based on coverage needs.
