Job Description- Utilize analytical skills to make determinations on documents for destruction
- Recognize intelligence information and demonstrate understanding of document markings and the policies and procedures of how to handle Restricted Data and Formerly Restricted Data if identified during review.
- Analyze records to identify classification level and ensure proper handling and control of National Security Information
- Serve as Administrator for the Security Review Tracking System (SRTA)
- Support the Tech Team within the DOPSR office Design pioneering improvements for the SRTA in order to improve efficiency and compliance
- Enter Security Review and other case types for processing
- Oversees proper destruction of classified material
- Prioritize and manage requests for review
- Track process of assigned review requests, monitor suspense dates, and report compliance to leadership
- Preparing review taskers to the components and follow up on missed suspenses
- Tracking review taskers, the components’ decision regarding each recommended review action, and the implementation of the component’s decisions
- Communicate regularly and with a high degree of accuracy with the component offices and customers
- Input review information, tasking information, and component response information in DOPSR database, keep review information up-to-date over the lifetime of each review
- Conduct quality assurance analysis on all Security Reviews
- Recommend strategies and participate in agency planning, goal setting, and development of applicable policies
- Work independently to identify and create solutions for issues surrounding program and personnel management
- Properly handle boxes and documents (boxes can weigh between 15-25 lbs.) and ensure integrity of each and every box remains intact
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Management related field (History, Political Science, Government Affairs) or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- Background in Computer Science
- Experience working with the ITAR application
- Ability to communicate effectively – both orally and in writing
- Excellent customer service skills to adequately handle the needs of government program managers and theirSMEs
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills, reading comprehension, and attention to detail
Salary range for this is position is $65,000-$70,000 annually.
