• Serve as the senior security presence for the assigned national media facility.
• Supervise and provide direction to security personnel assigned to the location.
• Maintain a highly visible, professional security presence.
• Monitor access control, visitor screening, employee entrances, and restricted areas.
• Respond to security incidents, emergencies, alarms, disturbances, and threats.
• Coordinate response to active-threat/active-shooter incidents in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain close communication with client management and PGS USA leadership.
• Prepare and maintain accurate incident reports, daily activity reports, and other required documentation.
• Conduct security inspections and identify vulnerabilities or potential security concerns.
• Ensure security personnel comply with post orders, policies, procedures, and client requirements.
• Assist with emergency response planning, drills, and security exercises.
• Coordinate with MPD and other emergency responders when necessary.
• Exercise sound judgment regarding the appropriate use of force and escalation of incidents.
• Protect employees, visitors, guests, executives, and client property.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client operations, personnel, security procedures, and sensitive information.

• The position requires an individual who is physically capable of standing and walking for extended periods, conducting security patrols, and responding quickly to emergencies. Candidates must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor and demonstrate the judgment, maturity, emotional control, and situational awareness expected of an experienced law-enforcement professional.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in high-stress environments while demonstrating professionalism and sound judgment.
• Must pass a background check and drug test screening.
• Retired in good standing from one of the following: U.S. Secret Service, NCIS, Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), U.S. Park Police (USPP), U.S. Capitol Police (USCP), Montgomery County (PD), Prince George County (PD).
• Current District of Columbia Special Police Officer (SPO) license.
• Current authorization/qualification to work armed in the District of Columbia.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience.
• Prior law-enforcement or security supervisory experience.
• Active Shooter/Active Threat training.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during high-stress situations.
• Physically fit and capable of performing the essential duties of the position.
• Ability to pass all required company and client screening requirements.
