Cyber Defense Group is hiring 30 full-time Diplomatic Security Officers in Washington, DC. This 100% on-site position pays $33.00 per hour and includes medical, dental, and vision benefits.

Qualified candidates who do not currently hold a clearance may be considered for employer sponsorship for a U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance. Applicants must be eligible and demonstrate the ability to obtain and maintain the required clearance.

The Diplomatic Security Officer maintains a professional security presence and helps protect sensitive facilities, personnel, and information. This opportunity is designed for college graduates, veterans, law enforcement professionals, and experienced security officers who want to enter or advance within the cleared government contracting environment.

• Maintain a professional security presence at assigned facilities
• Control and monitor access to secure areas
• Verify identification, credentials, and authorization
• Conduct security patrols and monitor facility conditions
• Identify and report suspicious activity, hazards, or security concerns
• Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies
• Follow established security procedures, post orders, and reporting requirements
• Document incidents and maintain required security records
• Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, government personnel, and security staff
• Protect sensitive facilities, personnel, and information
• Demonstrate reliability, situational awareness, professionalism, and sound judgment

Applicants only need to qualify through ONE of the following paths:

• Four-year college degree; OR
• Associate degree in Criminal Justice plus at least one year of physical security experience; OR
• At least three years of law enforcement experience; OR
• At least three years of honorable military service; OR
• At least four years of unarmed security experience

Applicants must also be able to work on-site in Washington, DC and meet applicable employer and U.S. Government suitability requirements.

Top Secret security clearance sponsorship is available for qualified candidates. No active security clearance is required to apply. Candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.

Clearance eligibility, investigation, adjudication, and final determination are subject to applicable U.S. Government requirements. Sponsorship does not guarantee that a clearance will be granted, and final clearance decisions are made by the U.S. Government.
