Cen Core is seeking Lead Construction Surveillance Technicians (LCSTs) to support a secure construction program in Washington, D.C. This role provides lead-level support for CST coverage across day and night shifts, helping maintain reliable surveillance operations and secure site standards. The LCST will support coordination, coverage awareness, and issue escalation for construction surveillance activities in support of national security requirements. This position requires an active TS/SCI clearance and the ability to work a Monday–Friday schedule with weekend support as required.
Key Responsibilities- Support day and night shift coverage by maintaining awareness of assigned CST staffing, post coverage, and operational needs.
- Observe construction-related activity and ensure potential security concerns are reported through appropriate channels.
- Coordinate professionally with CST personnel, site personnel, security staff, and program leadership as needed.
- Support compliance with site access, security, and operational procedures.
- Assist with coverage planning, shift handoffs, and communication of site requirements.
- Escalate unusual activity, coverage gaps, or potential security issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Support weekend coverage, overtime, or adjusted schedules when operationally necessary.
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to work on-site in Washington, D.C.
- Ability to work Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts, including day or night shift assignments.
- Ability to support weekend work, overtime, or adjusted coverage needs as required.
- Ability to follow security procedures and maintain professionalism in a secure construction environment.
- Prior experience as a Construction Surveillance Technician, Lead CST, or in a related secure construction role.
- Experience supporting federal, cleared, or national security programs.
- Experience coordinating shift coverage, site communication, or operational handoffs.
- Familiarity with secure facility procedures, physical security protocols, or construction site operations.
- Strong reporting, observation, and communication skills.
- Leadership presence in shift-based security operations.
- Attention to detail and strong situational awareness.
- Dependability, punctuality, and accountability.
- Professional communication with site and program stakeholders.
- Sound judgment when escalating concerns or coverage issues.
- Ability to coordinate across teams while following established procedures.
- Discretion when working in cleared or sensitive environments.
Physical Requirements
This position is based on-site in Washington, D.C. The role follows a Monday–Friday schedule with 8-hour shifts and day or night shift coverage. Weekend work, overtime, and schedule adjustments may be required based on operational needs. The position supports a secure construction environment and may require standing, walking, observing assigned areas, and working around active construction activity.
