Corporate Security Consultant

We are looking for an innovative, analytical, client focused, and collaborative Corporate Security Operations Consultant. As Corporate Security Consultant, you will contribute to the management and optimization of the Bank’s Corporate Security Program through security operations support, security technology initiatives, security equipment management, and organizational resilience activities. You will also conduct research and analysis and provide insights and recommendations that support strategic decisions, operational efficiency, organizational resilience, and service excellence.

You will work in the Travel, Security, and General Services Group (TSG), part of the Budget and Administrative Services Department within the Vice Presidency for Finance and Administration. The Corporate Security team manages the Bank’s security program by supporting

Headquarters’security operations, securitytechnologiesand equipment across IDB locations, and the Bank’s Organizational Resilience Program. In addition to security, TSG provides other services such as travel, food services, custodial services, printing, commuting support, and childcare services.

• Support the implementation, optimization, and expansion of video analytics and surveillance technologies at Headquarters and Country Offices to enhance security monitoring, incident detection, and operational effectiveness.
• Develop, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for security systems, technologies, and operational processes.
• Develop procedures and deliver training to Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) operators and Identification Unit personnel to standardize workflows, including security system administration and maintenance ticket processes.
• Maintain a comprehensive inventory of security equipment across Headquarters and Country Offices, including naming conventions, asset tracking, installation dates, warranty information, lifecycle management, and end-of-life planning.
• Support the administration and reconciliation of security-related chargebacks to internal departments.
• Assist in the development and execution of business continuity plans, emergency response activities, security coordination, and other physical security initiatives across corporate facilities.
• Analyze security service data, participation metrics, operational performance indicators, and key performance metrics (KPIs) to identify trends, monitor effectiveness, and support data-driven decision-making.

Education :

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent advanced degree) in International Relations, Business Administration,Business data Analytics,or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role.

Experience :

At least 2 years of relevant experience in the corporate security industry, including security technology coordination, vendor management, security systems maintenance and deployment, asset inventory management, operational documentation, and business continuity or emergency response support.

Languages :

Proficiency in English and Spanish, spoken and written, is required.

Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable.
