Responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated Security Technician to join our team. The Security Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and monitoring of physical and network security systems, ensuring the safety and protection of the organization's assets, data, and personnel. This role involves configuring and maintaining surveillance systems, access control systems, call stations, public address systems, and other security technologies.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Technical knowledge of various security systems and devices, including alarms, cameras, and access control systems, public address systems, and other security technologies.
  • Proficiency in system testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues promptly and accurately.
  • Experience in reading and understanding complex electrical and security system blueprints and schematics.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills to efficiently diagnose and repair system malfunctions.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain technical issues and provide clear instructions to clients.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate installation and maintenance of security equipment.
  • Physical fitness and manual dexterity to handle tools and climb ladders when necessary.
  • Knowledge of safety practices and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications
  • US Citizen and active Top Secret clearance.
  • A bachelor’s degree or 4 years equivalent experience as a security technician.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
  • Experience with Genetec and CCure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work a regular schedule at the Washington DC locations.
  • A team player with a customer‑oriented approach.
