EMCOR Government Services is seeking a Journeyman Electrician in Southeast Washington, DC
. This position is covered by the CBA for Local 26.

• Perform preventative maintenance, service calls, read and understand blueprints, inspections, and supervise subcontractors.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues.
• Utilize general knowledge of motors, switch gear, emergency generation, UPS, fire, HVAC, and related electrical building systems.

• Licensed Journeyman Electrician (DC, MD, or VA).
• Demonstrate practical knowledge of electrical systems.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience performing operation and maintenance tasks in a government or commercial office environment.
• Proficiency in using electrical tools such as meters.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• General knowledge of motors, switch gear, emergency generation, UPS, fire, HVAC, and related electrical building systems.

• Requires abundant walking, bending, kneeling, and working in uncomfortable positions.
• Must be able to move/lift heavy objects, climb vertical ladders, and work at heights.
