McCarthy Services is seeking a Residential HVAC Technician to install, diagnose, and repair heating and cooling systems in single-family homes across the Richmond, VA area. In this role, you'll troubleshoot furnaces, heat pumps, and air conditioners; perform preventive maintenance; and recommend solutions that improve comfort and efficiency. You'll interact directly with homeowners, explaining findings and options with professionalism and integrity. Technicians follow strict safety standards, maintain detailed service records, and collaborate with a supportive, team-oriented staff focused on quality, reliability, and long-term customer relationships.

Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, heat pumps, and air conditioners
- Diagnose system issues and perform accurate troubleshooting using appropriate tools and instruments
- Conduct preventive maintenance, cleanings, and seasonal tune-ups to optimize system performance
- Explain findings, repair options, and maintenance recommendations clearly to homeowners
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards, codes, and company policies
- Prepare accurate job documentation, service records, and parts usage reports
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory in clean and safe working condition
- Collaborate with dispatchers and team members to prioritize and complete daily service calls
- Participate in ongoing technical training and certification programs
