Laisar Management Group builds and operates hiring pipelines on large construction and infrastructure programs. We connect residents to careers in the building trades by working alongside training providers, apprenticeship sponsors, community organizations, and the contractors doing the hiring. Our teams have supported major transportation and infrastructure programs across the region, including work with general contractors on projects governed by project labor agreements and local hiring commitments.
Aboutthe Program
This position supports a major development in Washington, DC. The program is designed to connect District residents to construction employment and long-term careers in the building trades.
The RoleThe first ninety days decide whether a placement becomes a career. You will carry a caseload of District residents from preparation through placement and well past their start date — solving the transportation problem, the childcare problem, the tools problem, and the ones nobody mentions until they have already caused a missed shift.
What You Will Do- Carry a caseload of participants from intake through 90-day retention follow-up
- Conduct needs assessments and build individual service plans
- Coordinate wrap-around services and connect participants to community resources
- Maintain regular contact with placed workers and their employers to identify problems early
- Document all participant contact, services delivered, and outcomes
- Escalate systemic barriers to program leadership
- Support hiring fairs, orientation sessions, and community events
- Two or more years in case management, workforce services, social services, or a related field
- Experience working with individuals facing employment barriers
- Strong documentation habits and comfort with case management systems
- Ability to build trust quickly with participants and hold them accountable
- Experience with reentry, housing instability, or opportunity youth populations
- Knowledge of DC community resources and social service networks
- Lived experience relevant to the populations served
- Bilingual English/Spanish
District of Columbia residency is required. This program exists to create employment for DC residents, and we hold ourselves to the same standard. Applicants must reside in the District at the time of hire and maintain DC residency throughout employment. Residents of Ward 7 and Ward 8 are strongly encouraged to apply.

Compensation:$58,000 – $72,000
