Overview
For over 25 years, Noblis has provided specialized engineering, acquisition, and program management services to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). We are seeking passionate and committed professionals to contribute expertise towards advancing the National Airspace System (NAS) in alignment with the FAA’s forward‑looking vision.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, test, and deploy computer software solutions.
- Conduct feasibility analysis, problem definition, requirements development, and solution development.
- Document and demonstrate solutions by creating documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.
- Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
- Improve operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.
- Develop software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
- Follow the software development lifecycle to ensure high‑quality deliverables.
- Apply Agile Scrum and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies to ensure efficient and iterative development processes.
- Design and develop solutions to be hosted in the cloud (e.g., AWS, Azure), ensuring scalability, security, and performance optimization.
- Utilize database solutions such as Postgre
SQL, MySQL, Mongo
DB, and Oracle. - Emphasize user experience and human factors in the software design process to ensure the solutions are intuitive, user‑friendly, and compliant with Section 508 accessibility requirements.
- Successfully pass an FAA background investigation/verification and receive a successful final suitability determination.
- Proven experience in software design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Strong background in systems analysis and requirements development.
- Proficiency in using modern programming languages and tools, including Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, and SQL.
- Experience with modern software development methodologies such as Agile Scrum and Scaled Agile development.
- Knowledge of modern cloud and database solutions and platforms.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- U.S. citizen or green card permanent resident who has resided in the U.S. for 3+ years.
- Travel will vary per project. Must be able to travel as required by the project.
- Familiarity with FAA regulations and standards.
- Experience in developing solutions for air traffic management and surveillance systems.
- Technical certifications such as Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
- Ability to recommend changes in policies and procedures based on system analysis.
Senior‑level – Minimum of 15 years’ experience with bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Information Systems.
Mid‑level – Minimum of 10 years’ experience with bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Information Systems.
Junior‑level – Minimum of 2 years’ experience with bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Information Systems.
CompensationPosted Salary Range: USD $58,680.00 – USD $ /Yr.
Location and TravelPossible on‑site locations include Washington, D.C., Egg Harbor, NJ, and Oklahoma City, OK. Remote/hybrid employment may be available for some roles. Travel is required as per project.
