Softtek Government Solutions is seeking a Lead Solution Architect to join our federal technology services consulting practice. This is a hands-on senior technologist role that works collaboratively with other technical leaders in the organization to design and develop technical solutions for custom software development projects. You should have full-stack development experience. You will interface with senior IT SMEs to collaboratively design large-scale IT application solutions using sound architectural approaches.
You will lead through expertise and sound decision-making that considers benefits, risks, and technical dependencies. You will optimize development team techniques and practices through continuous improvement. You should have enthusiasm for driving teams to deliver high-quality software. Prior experience working with Federal government customers is required.
- Lead the development of technology solutions in a variety of technologies
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team composed of software developers
- Communicate with stakeholders to understand mission objectives and refine requirements.
- Guide the team through ambiguity to gain clarity on requirements & acceptance criteria.
- Plan and coordinate software releases with appropriate stakeholders
- Collaborate effectively and build consensus for technical approaches and solutions
- Apply sound application architecture and programming practices
- Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field (or commensurate experience)
- 10+ years of experience leading software development projects/programs
- Prior Federal/Gov Con experience required
- Hands on experience programming full stack applications with the following technology stack:
- Front End:
Type Script, JS, CSS, HTML, Figma, Angular, Material, Node, NPM, Jasmine, Karma, Github Code spaces, VS Code, Git, Playwright, JIRA - Very high level of verbal language proficiency
- Preference given to Big 4 consulting experience in Federal government sector
- Ability to convincingly explain the rationale for technology decisions
- Experience working with project management tools (JIRA, Azure Dev Ops, Project)
- Full-time employees (no 1099 or Corp-to-Corp)
- Willing to work On-site (Washington, DC)
- Preference given to candidates with a Top-Secret clearance (active or recently active)
- Must be able to pass background screening and re-investigation
- Must be able to work in a SCIF
