Full Stack Developer - PowerShell

Job Summary

Lafayette Group is seeking an experienced professional to provide advanced consulting support for federal cybersecurity programs. The Mid/Senior Full Stack Developer – Power Shell seeks a collaborative team member who shares our passion for supporting cybersecurity, has an innate curiosity to learn, and drives to excel with a team of like‑minded colleagues in a dynamic environment. This role requires deep, hands‑on Power Shell expertise and a proven ability to adapt and drive change in a rapidly evolving solution, new requirements, technologies and threat landscape.

• Develop and maintain Power Shell scripts and automation solutions as a core function of the role.
• Provide solution engineering, design, and development services.
• Develop well‑structured code and applications using coding best practices to deliver enterprise applications.
• Develop recommendations that meet requirements and optimally deliver technical capabilities that match business needs (reliability, performance, maintainability, scalability, security, usability) on projects of similar size, scope, and complexity.
• Proactively seek opportunities to define and improve processes to align and optimize resources across technical areas and in response to a dynamic customer environment.
• Provide thought leadership and influence through effective communication and consultative, analytical, organizational, and design skills.
• Take initiative and work independently while maintaining excellent communication with project leadership.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems management, engineering, or other relevant discipline.
• 3+ years of hands‑on Power Shell scripting and automation experience as a primary function of a current or previous professional role.
• 5+ years’ experience using Agile and Sec Dev Ops  practices and tools to iteratively and rapidly deliver secure enterprise‑scale solutions.
• 5+ years’ experience designing and implementing solutions that include consideration of Federal Security requirements (e.g., compliance with Federal ATO requirements across all security domains).
• 3+ years’ experience leading technical analysis and solution development efforts, including evaluating new methodologies and technologies.
• 3+ years’ experience working with Customer Experience/Human Centered Design experts to deliver customer‑focused, effective solutions.
• 3+ years’ experience iteratively building and deploying web‑based applications and data platforms in AWS and Azure – HTML/CSS, JavaScript, responsive web UI frameworks (Python/Django, React.js, Angular, Bootstrap).
• 3+ years’ experience with Microservice Frameworks:
  Java/Spring Boot, Golang, Node.js, and AWS/Azure native technology stacks (containers, serverless, SQL/No
  
  SQL, object storage).
• Experience with Git, SVN, or other version control systems.
• Experience with Graph
  
  API, Policy API, Open Policy Agent (OPA)/Rego code.
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience with Atlassian JIRA/Confluence and/or other project organization and team collaboration platforms.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must be able to obtain Public Trust Clearance.

• Experience with Python scripting in addition to Power Shell.
• Experience in establishing a development environment in the federal space.
• Experience with mocking solutions for quick review.
• Experience delivering technical excellence in the federal space, particularly with DHS Programs and the DHS SELC.
• Contributor to open‑source projects.
• Relevant professional level cloud or Dev Ops certifications.

Remote (Arlington, VA)

$100,000–$125,000

This position involves working on federal contracts that require all workers on the contract to be U.S. Citizens. Some contracts may require the ability to obtain a security clearance.
