Full Stack Developer Job Washington area,District of Columbia USA,Software Development

We are seeking a skilled Full-Stack Developer to join our team in supporting a government client. In this role, you will play a key part in integrating data source APIs, developing Python scripts, creating and managing databases, generating reports, and conducting testing within an AWS environment. Your responsibilities will also include automating scripts, maintaining software code, and enhancing system functionalities.

Responsibilities:

Solid understanding of cybersecurity IT, security applications, and networking fundamentals
Full-stack development expertise with the ability to mentor and guide team members
Proficiency in Pytest and AWS technologies
Experience in building and managing modern REST APIs
Hands‑on involvement with APIs, scripting for data integration, and database operations
Ability to analyze large data feeds, extract relevant information, and provide basic analysis
Conduct static code reviews and streamline complex scripts
Document workflows and contribute to process improvements
Skilled in database maintenance

Requirements:

U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain required Suitability clearance
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field
Minimum 5 years of development experience in any programming languages
Minimum 3 years of Python experience
Minimum 2 years of relational or No

SQL database experience (e.g., Postgres, MSSQL, MySQL, Mongo

DB)
Minimum 1 year of JavaScript or Type Script experience
Minimum 1 year of AWS experience

Preferred:

Familiarity with Dev Ops practices and lifecycle
Advanced coding skills in Python and frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask, Pyramid)
Experience with front-end technologies (HTML5, JavaScript, Node.js, React)
Knowledge of object‑relational mapping (ORM) and Docker
Proficiency in Unix/Linux OS and command line
Familiarity with core AWS services, RESTful API development, and AI concepts (NLP or Machine Learning)
Strong Git and Github skills
AWS development experience is a plus
Proficient in MS Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
